Commenti : We stayed at the Hotel Loftleiğir at the beginning and end of our trip to Iceland. We found the staff at the hotel very helpful and friendly. I'd stayed in hotels in Reykjavík before, and they can be quite noisy, but he Hotel Loftleiğir being out of the immediate city center is quite quiet. You can walk to the city center by footpath at a leisurely pace in about 15-20 minutes, which we found quite pleasant, and the thermal beach is a short walk down the road from the hotel. I would recommend this hotel, especially to anyone who has a lot of gear to deal with (we were kayaking and camping in Iceland) - it's directly on the FlyBus line, and they allowed us to store luggage while we were travelling back-country. Also, booking via FastBooking.com saved us considerable money over booking directly with the hotel.
